On 20th November 2020, the Alliance High School Old Boys (AHS OBC) hosted their 7th Annual Charity Tournament jointly with the Alliance Girls High School Old Girls Association (AGHS OGA) at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club. The Charity Golf Tournament which began as early as 7 am hoped to bring together the old boys, old girls and friends of the Alliance Schools together for a great game of golf with hopes to raise funds for the Schools despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Previous AHS OBC charity golf tournaments were the main fundraising event used to raise funds to support the AHS OBC secretariat and its activities as well as helping needy students. The joint Alliance Charity Golf Tournament earnings will be divided equally to support students from both Schools.
The Alliance Charity Golf Tournament could have not happened without our wonderful sponsors who ensured that the tournament was a success. The sponsors of the tournament included the title sponsor Centum Investment Company PLC, Duncan Nderitu Ndegwa Foundation, Telkom Kenya, Mombasa Continental Resort, CPF Financial Services, NCBA Bank Group, Betty Maina, Eng. Joseph Njoroge, James Muguiyi, Nabo Capital, Britam, Globefinity ITS, Bulls Sauces Kenya, Happy Home Meats, Opulence, among others. Thanks to our amazing sponsors the tournament was able to run smoothly.
The Royal Nairobi Golf Club was a field of green and white as the old boys and old girls adorned their school colours to come together to play in the tournament. The AHS OBC Golf Captain Eng. Sammy Muita and the AGHS OGA Lady Captain, Joyce Wafula led the tournament joint organizing committee which ensured that the everything went as planned.
