The JOBC handing-over ceremony took place on 21 October 2023 at Alliance High School and marked a significant milestone in the Junior Old Boys Club journey.

The handover ceremony was attended by a few of the Old boys and current students who are members of the JOBC.  

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome and opening remarks by JOBC patron ms Githinji, who acknowledged the importance of the handover and its impact on the JOBC club.

The outgoing team members shared insights and experiences gained during their tenure, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. The incoming team introduced themselves and presented their vision, goals, and strategies for the future, demonstrating their commitment to the club’s success.

 The symbolic handover of responsibilities was done by exchange of ties, signifying the transfer of authority from the outgoing team to the incoming team.

The OBC  ‘strong to serve’ mugs were given to the outgoing team members for their contributions and dedication. This served to boost morale and foster a sense of gratitude.

Vice chairman of OBC Mr. Muchiri Starlings, delivered a speech emphasizing the club’s values, expectations, and support for the incoming team, during his speech he recognized one of the old boys Duncan Ndegwa who on 20 October 2023 was celebrated as a shujaa at the Mombasa golf club.

The formal handover facilitated a seamless transition of responsibilities and ensured a continuity of operations. Recognizing outgoing team members and their accomplishments boosted team morale and motivation.

The handover ceremony was a success, embodying the club’s commitment to growth, unity, and forward momentum. It reinforced the importance of knowledge transfer and teamwork while celebrating the contributions of outgoing team members. The event set a positive tone for the incoming team’s journey and established a strong foundation for their future endeavors.

The JOBC is looking forward to the continued success and growth of the club.
