Participants at a minimum should familiarize themselves with all of this information prior to the event. PARTICIPANTS’ BIBS AND T-SHIRTS

Your race number must be worn on the front of your body and be clearly visible at all times.

Those who register within 2 weeks of the race will have their names custom printed on their race numbers. The Race Bib’s will be issued from Wednesday 8th of May to Friday 10th of May 2019 at the following location. You may choose to pick you Bib on the race day early at 0630hrs.

WHAT YOU GET FROM ORGANIZERS
A participant race bib and T-shirt will be issued to all registered participants. Well-marked course with plenty of aid and marshals.  All participants will receive a finisher’s medal at the finish line.

PARKING

There is plenty of parking at the Venue. Self-drives and carpools are encouraged and will have safe and secure parking.

DRIVERS’ INFORMATION

You have multiple ways to access the venue from Nairobi and its environs. The following are some of the options.

From Nairobi CBD use A104 (Waiyaki Way) and Turn off at Gitaru onto the Southern Bypass and Shortly after on to Kikuyu Road. Shortly after Kikuyu Town take a turn off at the Alliance High School/Kikuyu Hospital turn off to the Venue.

From Karen and Langata use the Bypass and Exit at Gikambura, use the overpass and drive on to Kikuyu road before taking a left and heading up to the Kikuyu Hospital/Alliance High School turn off.

PERSONAL EFFECTS STORAGE

The start line is next to the parking. You may leave all your personal effects in your car or seek help of the registration desk.

REFUNDS – TRANSFERS – SWITCHES
Entry fees are not refundable under any circumstance, race registrations are not transferable to other participants.

VENUE INFORMATION: SANITATION, MEALS AND GENERAL

Clean washrooms are provided at the Start/Finish line only. Being in a school set up post-race refreshments and snacks will be provided by the various School Clubs. Kindly support them by purchasing from them.

TERRAIN, WEATHER AND CLOTHING
Kikuyu is usually cold and misty in the morning letting off to sunshine by around 0700hrs.The Course is 95% on graded murram roads. Trail shoes encouraged as opposed to bitumen track shoes. A light jacket may prove helpful in the morning but it gets steadily warm over the course.

AID STATIONS
Our aid stations are manned by marshals where you get access to water and/or fruits on the trail. The Marshals can also be alerted in case of any medical support or if you Do Not Finish and need help getting back to the start.
