Kipkemoi Limo is an old boy of Alliance High School, class of 2004, school number 7907 from Wilberforce 12A.
An architect by profession and a recreational runner when not designing buildings, Limo has a strong affinity for either long runs or treacherous routes: be it scaling heights or running in extreme weather. He started running as a way to reduce his weight as playing hockey (a sport he plays actively) required the shedding of some kilos for improved agility, and this turned out to be a hobby that has become part of his life.
His first run long run was at the Alliance Classic Run on May 19th 2018, which was a punitive 21km race.

After finishing the gruelling Nairobi to Moshi run early 2020, Limo needed a new challenge. The best option among the ones considered was to tour the entire country of Kenya. The perfect way to do that was to run an ultra-marathon (anything between 45km and 70km) in every county, making for a total of 47 ultra-marathon runs. He is well on course to achieve this target, which he hopes to do by March 2021. As of 25 September 2020, he had ran in 18 out of 47 counties.

2. To publicize and assist in raising funds and other resources for the Alliance Classic Run;
3. To inspire people to adopt recreational running as part of their fitness routine; and
4. To demonstrate to people that no matter where you are in Kenya or elsewhere you can run, walk or cycle to keep fit and healthy. Any ground or area where you live or work offers an opportunity to exercise.
